Organic and inorganic trace minerals

Trace minerals such as zinc, copper, cobalt and selenium are added to Vitamin Complete in both organic and inorganic form (50/50).The combination of organic and inorganic trace elements is chosen because the readily available organic trace elements are responsible for covering the short-term need, and the inorganic trace elements with slower absorption act as a “depot� with a long-term effect.At the same time, it ensures that only the amount needed is absorbed by the horse, and everything else is excreted without putting strain on the horse’s metabolism.

Amino acids – the body’s building blocks

Nordic Vitamin Complete is also supplemented with lysine, methionine and threonine (essential amino acids). These amino acids are also known as the limiting amino acids, as the remaining amino acids the horse consumes cannot be utilised if the horse lacks these three in the feed.Many horses do not get enough quality protein, and therefore essential amino acids,which shows as lack of muscle development, growth issues, poor hooves etc. By feeding Vitamin Complete, you ensure not only an optimal intake of vitamins, minerals and trace elements, but also an optimal supply of essential amino acids, which are involved in many of the body’s important functions.
