Artichoke contains a high proportion of bitter substances (cynnaropikriner), which affect the stimulation of gastric acid production as well as the intestines peristaltic movements. This increases the digestibility of even hard-to-break-down feedstuffs.

Use:
Artichoke reduces bloating and decreases appetite.
Promotes the breakdown of fat, especially undesirable fat deposits such as along the crest and over the tailhead; the artichokes primary biologically active substance is cynarin. Cynarin can affect the liver, and its detoxifying capacity is stimulated, as this substance increases blood flow.

Nordic Artichoke should be given as a course for a minimum of 6 weeks or more to achieve optimal effect. It should be administered at least twice daily and, if possible, preferably more.

Should not be given to foals under 1 year of age, nor to pregnant and lactating mares, as insufficient studies have been carried out in this regard.

As this is a 100% pure natural product, the analytical constituents may vary from batch to batch.
