Electrolytesare, for some horses, a necessary supplement to the feed if the horse performs or sweats more than normal. Electrolytes are the minerals lost via urine, faeces, exhaled air and especially sweat, and they are all substances required for optimal performance. A lack of electrolytes means, among other things, reduced efficiency of muscle and nerve function. The excretion of waste products is also significantly reduced when electrolytes are lacking.

Nordic Elektrolyt Sticksdiffer from other similar products on the market because the electrolytes are bound to natural fibres. This means the salts are released slowly and become available to the horse as the fibres break down. This results in minimal impact on the fluid balance in the gut, while ensuring optimal utilisation of the electrolytes.
